Sowing Machine AMBER 900/3

8. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
A rotating mixer is installed inside the machine seed box as well as seed level sensor
and net protecting hands from getting into the mixer shaft or other materials from
getting into bottom part of the seed box.
The machine is equipped with a measuring channels which are drawn out under the
sowing devices. This is performed during the turning test of a sowing norm. The
machine is also equipped with one-disc coulters with the diameter of 400mm
indented for row sowing which are mounted on four rubber absorbers. The depth of
disc couplers’ working depends on the angle of the pressing shaft which is set by a
machine operator.
A universal sowing wheel mounted on the common sowing shaft is installed in the
sowing devices. The machine is equipped with disc markers which are controlled
hydraulically. Opening and closing of technological paths is performed with the use of
a special electrical device. Seed placed in the seed box, under the pressure of gravity
and mixer movement, get through the holes in the rear side of the box to the sowing
device (Figure 5) from which the rotating sowing wheel (Figure 3) throws the seeds to
the seed duct connected with a coulter. The seeds in the seed duct are thrown into a
furrow made by a disc coulter (row sowing). The amount of seeds thrown by the
sowing device depends on the dimension of spaces/distances/ between the bottom
of the sowing device and the cylindrical surface of the sowing wheel, the dimensions
of the hole in the wall of the seed box can be adjusted with a valve and as well as the
regulation of a lever of the gear box.
The shaft is driven by the drive wheel /Figure 6 /. The torque from the drive wheel of
the machine /1/ to stepless gear box /4/ and than to coupling sleeve and sowing
shaft. The mixer also gets the torque from the drive wheel. The application of
swinging adjustable bottoms and the drawn out measuring channels allows to
remove the remaining seed from the seed box in a quick and easy way.
Raising sowing disc coulters is performed through lifting the whole machine on the
set of rubber wheel /transport position/.
8.1. DESIGN OF THE SOWING MACHINE
The machine consists of the following elements /Figure 4/: frame/1/, seed box /2/,
dosing system equipped with sowing wheel /3/, disc coulters with sowing ducts /4/,
markers controlled hydraulically /5/, driving system /6/, together with stepless gear
box /7/, and pressing installation /8/. The frame is a welded construction made of
bars. The seed box is mounted on the frame with the use of supporting sheet metals
and front support. The sowing devices are fixed to the rear side of the seed box.
