Connecting Your Display
You can connect many types of displays to the built-in video support
provided by your SuperMac C600x computer. This section provides
instructions for connecting a typical display. For details about the
setup and operation of your specific display, refer to the user manual
that came with it.
In addition to the built-in video support, you can install graphics
cards in any of the three internal Peripheral Component Interconnect
(PCI) expansion slots. For information on installing video expansion
cards, see Appendix B, Working Inside Your Computer.
In general, PCI 2.1 compliant cards designed for Apple
’s Power Macin-
tosh 8600 and 9600 series computers will work with the SuperMac
C600x computer. If you experience problems with a PCI
compliant
card, contact the card’s manufacturer for assistance.
