Upgrading the Processor
You can upgrade the performance of your SuperMac C600x by install-
ing a Processor card with higher speeds.
To upgrade the processor:
1.
Remove the cover, front panel, bottom panel, and all of
the PCI cards from the computer. See “Installing an
Expansion Card” earlier in this
appendix.
2.
With the computer on its right side, lift the lever
above the processor module to a vertical position.
A heat sink is located on top of the module. Make sure the module
is cool enough to touch.
