Cleaning the main body
Check the inner surface condition of the
sensor shown in Fig. 10-17 (indicated with
arrow in the photo). OK if it is of metallic
color.
If the surface is discolored or stained, polish
it with sandpaper. First, polish it with
rough sandpaper #180 or #240 until the
color becomes metallic and then finish with
finer sandpaper of #400.

10.6.6.
Cleaning the O-ring and O-ring Groove
Scar and dust on O-ring
Scar and dust can be a cause of leak. Make sure that the O-ring is
free of scar and dust.
Observe the surface condition of the O-
ring and O-ring groove shown in Fig.
10-18. If the O-ring is scarred or
deformed, replace it with a new one. If
the O-ring groove is scarred, replace
the sensor head.
If the O-ring or O-ring groove is
contaminated with dust or dirt, wipe it
with a cloth wetted with alcohol and
then allow it to dry up.

10.6.7.
Cleaning Parts
Clean any part, if removed, by ultrasonic cleaning using alcohol for 10 minutes,
regardless of whether it was polished or not, and allow it to dry up.
If an ultrasonic cleaner is not available at hand, carefully wipe it with a wiper wetted
with alcohol.
