OPERATION
Before using it for the first time, wash all the pieces
which are going to come into contact with foodstuffs
in soapy water.
- Always use the appliance on a flat and clean work
surface. Place the base of the filter onto the motor
housing correctly. (Fig. 1)
- Put the filter on the base of the filter. (Fig. 2)
- Fit the filter with the most suitable cone: If the fruit is
small in size (lemons, etc), select the small cone. If it is
a large fruit (grapefruits, etc) or if you prefer the juice
with pulp, then fit the large cone on top of the small
one. (Fig. 3)
- Unwind the cable fully and plug the juice extractor
into the mains supply.
- Cut the fruit in half. Place each half on top of the
cone and press gently. The citrus press will start
automatically (Fig. 4). Do not press too hard on the
fruit as this may stop it from rotating.
- Place a glass below the juice outlet spout and press
the spout down into the “open” position to allow the
juice to come out. (Fig. 5)
- To stop the citrus press, just stop pressing down on
the fruit. When finished, lift the spout back up into the
closed position to prevent it from dripping.
Important:
Do not use the citrus press continuously for
more than five minutes.
CLEANING
Clean the citrus press after each use. Check that the
appliance is switched off and unplugged from the
mains.
Remove all the pieces from the citrus press and wash
them, with the exception of the motor housing, in soapy
water. Dry all the pieces thoroughly before refitting
them. All the parts except main motor unit can be
washed in dishwasher.
Wipe down the motor housing with a slightly damp
cloth. Never immerse it in water or any other liquid. Do
not use detergents or abrasive cleaning products.
For storing the citrus press in a better way, you can
place the lid on the top and wind the cable back in the
cable storage in the base of the citrus press. (Fig. 6)
