• To avoid imprecise measurements, please do not conduct measure-
ments:
• Measurements must be taken with a resting heartrate. Rest for at
least 5 minutes before taking the measurement. Depending on the
intensity of any preceding exertion, you may even need to rest for up
to an hour.
- up until 1 hour after any meals or fluid intake,
- right after consuming tea, coffee, or tobacco,
- up until 20 minutes after taking a bath,
- in a cold environment,
- if you feel increased urinary urgency.
• Breath deeply 5 to 6 times before starting the measurement.
• It is absolutely necessary to be calm during the measurement. Dis-
turbing movements, vibrations, speaking, and breathing heavily will
affect the measurement and can lead to distorted results.
7. Important instructions for use
• Pay attention to the display for irregular pulse signals. If necessary,
repeat the measurement under more suitable conditions.
• Repeat the measurement after a short break of the blood circuit in the
arm, rest for at least 3 minutes for this purpose.
• To exclude the possibility of differences caused by body side it is im-
portant to conduct the measurement on one arm only. Please ask your
doctor which side is most appropriate for your measurement.
• Blood pressure is not a fixed value. In patients with hypertension,
blood pressure may increase or decrease by more than 20 mmHg over
a period of a few minutes.
Clear the wrist from all clothing or watches/jewellery since this may dis-
turb the blood flow in the arm as it may impair the blood pressure at the
place of measurement.
Pull the device over your left wrist, palm facing up.
The distance between the palm and the cuff’s edge
must be 1-2 cm.
Now tighten the loose end of the cuff and close it
with the Velcro fastener. A cuff that is too loose can
cause imprecise measurement values.
8. Attaching the cuff
Sit at a dining table, lean your back against the
backrest of the chair and bend your arm so that
your arm is exactly at heart level. Place your feet
on the ground and do not cross your legs.
9. Body posture when taking measurements

• To attain comparable results, perform the measurement under condi-
tions that are as similar to each other as possible, e.g. always at the
same time of day in the same place.
• It is important to keep your arm calm and not to speak during the
measurement.
• Do not bend your wrist.
• Keep your hand relaxed, not tightened, do not make a fist.
If the cuff is in a higher or lower position than the heart, the measured
value might be higher or lower, respectively.
