Manual operation requires the presence of two momentary push buttons, one for each of
the two natural ventilation zones, with three contacts: common, open and close (see dia
-
gram 4 on page 50).
The manual commands are disabled if an emergency, weather, thermostat or CO2 signal has
been activated. The control unit can be configured so that the manual commands work on
an impulse basis (by pushing the button and releasing it within 1 second), or “dead man” basis
(the command remains active for as long as the button is held down). To choose the type of
operation, see the paragraph 8.2 “INITIAL CONFIGURATION”.
1.
OPENING
An opening command sent to the actuator by manual commands, does not result in any type
of signal.
The open command ceases:
a. When the maximum stroke time of 180 seconds is reached (impulse operation) or when the
manual button is released (person present operation).
b. When the reset button is pushed (the drive stops).
c. Impulse operation: the drive stops when the close button is pushed and released within 1 second.
d. When an emergency of weather event occurs (depending on the situation, the drive changes direction or executes emergency
opening / closing).
The EMERGENCY INTERLOCK status is activated by supplying 24 Vdc +/- 25% external voltage
to the AUX1 input (for example, coming from the motor output of another control unit C-SV)
and it is signalled by a flashing red LED. It works only if the control unit is configured in INTER
-
LOCK SLAVE mode (see dip-switch configuration par. 8.2) and if the control unit is not already
in emergency status.
The control unit enters in the EMERGENCY INTERLOCK status 3 seconds after the enabling of
AUX1 input and it remains in this status until a RESET command is given; in this case the control
unit goes into standby mode.
When the control unit is in EMERGENCY INTERLOCK status, it gives a closing command to the motors and it ignores any emergency
command (see diagram 10 on page 53).
8.3.5 Emergency interlock
8.3.6 Reset
8.3.7 Emergency closing
8.4.1 Manual natural ventilation commands
8.4 Commands for natural ventilation
The reset command can be activated using the emergency push button or (during installation
/ maintenance / testing) directly on the control unit’s electronic board. This control works only
when the push button is released.
Resetting allows the control unit to exit the emergency situation, provided the event that gave
rise to the alarm has ceased. During the reset phase (about 1 second) all three LEDs (red,
yellow and green) stay on, making it possible to visually check that they are actually working.
In the factory settings, the double pressing of the RESET button commands the windows to
close (see section 8.2).
The EM CL input is used to send an emergency closing command. This is used in some
countries to suffocate flames and facilitate the Fire Brigade’s actions, once the building has
been evacuated.
It must be terminated with a 10 kOhm resistor.
When used, it must be connected to one or more manual control points (normally open
contacts) in parallel with one another, each with a 1 kOhm resistor in series with it.
A short-circuit or break in the cable is indicated as a fault on the control unit, and does not influence the other functions.
There is a 3 second delay before the activation of the emergency close command, and it is maintained until the manual
control point is activated.
The termination resistor must be positioned at the end of the line (see diagram 7 on page 51).
It is advisable to position the manual control point in a position that is only accessible to authorised personnel.
