2. Loosen, but DO NOT remove the eight
Lock Bolts
located on the
Alignment Bracket.
3. While adjusting the azimuth, observe the
Antenna
Alignment
window. The
Chain 0
and
Chain 1 Signal
Strength
bar graphs display the absolute power level
(in dBm) of the received signal for each chain. Adjust
the azimuth for the strongest received
Signal Strengths
.
For example, a displayed value of -42 dBm is a stronger
received signal than -47 dBm.

4. Observe the
Antenna Alignment
window, and adjust
the elevation until the
strongest
Signal Strengths
are
displayed.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the
Master
.
6. On the
Slave
, repeat steps 3-4 to finalize the alignment.
7. On the
Master
, repeat steps 3-4 to finalize the
alignment.
8. Lock the alignment on both airFiber radios by
tightening all eight
Lock Bolts
on the
Alignment Bracket.
Observe the
Antenna Alignment
window on each airFiber
AF24 to ensure that the value remains constant when
tightening the
Lock Bolts
. If the
Signal Levels
change during
the locking process, loosen the
Lock Bolts,
finalize the
alignment of each airFiber AF24 again, and retighten the
Lock Bolts
.
