UBI EasyCoder 401 – Technical Manual

The UBI EasyCoder 401 is a rugged industrial thermal transfer/direct thermal printer
intended for low volume label production of max. 1,000 – 2,000 labels/day.

The EasyCoder 401 is fitted with the UBI Fingerprint firmware, which is compatible
with the various UBI LabelShop label-editing programs, the UBI Windows Driver
(optional parallel interface board required), and the UBI Direct Protocol. The flexible
UBI Fingerprint programming language also allows you to create your own programs.

The EasyCoder 401 can be fitted a number of options including a scalable fonts kit that
allows the use of outline fonts in Speedo and TrueType format, a paper cutter or a label-
taken sensor, a real-time clock circuit, and a parallel interface board.
