SELECTING PAPER
Setup Options

obtained using the default setup 0100, try
these options to find the one that best suits
your label layout.
The printer can be set for various types of direct thermal papers by
means of the setup parameter “Paper Type”.
The printer's firmware contains a number of standard thermal paper
options stored in EPROM, as listed below. Most of them are
intended for non-linerless direct thermal paper only (refer to the
UBI EasyCoder 401 Technical Manual), but a few can also be used
for linerless printing. To achieve better print quality, the printer is
also provided with some specific linerless “Paper Type” options,
which are stored in RAM at factory using the “New Supplies”
option.
The “New Supplies” setup parameter allows additional options to
be selected by entering a 13-digit code. Once selected, such an
option can be reselected as a “Paper Type” option using the first 4
digits of its code number. The “New Supplies” option is also used
to re-enter linerless paper setup options if the setup accidently has
been lost.
