ensures
only
one
dispenser
is
active

one
time.

displayed
the
display
will

to

The

SELF
TEST
MODE
The
tray
rotation,
light
and
alarm
sound
can
all
be
tested
and
demonstrated
by
pressing
and
holding
all
3
buttons
down
together
until
TEST
is
displayed.
Press
button
3
to
start
a
whole
alarm
sequence,
the
display
will
show
“
DEMO
”.
Close
the
lid
and
the
tray
will
turn
to
the
open
position.
The
alarm
will
sound,
the
light
will
flash
and
the
display
will
show
“
TAKE
MED
”.
Pick
the
dispenser
up
and
tip
forward
to
demonstrate
dispensing
the
medication.
The
display
will
show
“
CLOSE”
and
the
tray
will
turn
to
the
locked
position.
Press
button
3
to
repeat
or
press
and
hold
button
1
for
a
few
seconds
to
end.
This
mode
is
also
used
when
learning
the
Pill
Dispenser
onto
the
warden
call
system,
at
‐
home
alarm
unit
or
Nursecall
system.

pages
for
how
to
put
each
of
these
products
into
“Learn
Mode”.
ERROR
ALARM
If
the
tray
fails
to
rotate
due
to
an
obstruction
an
alarm
will
sound
and
the
display
will
show
ERROR
01,
04
or
08
.
This
can
be
cleared
by
pressing
button
3
.
Any
obstruction
should
be
removed.
When
the
obstruction
is
cleared
retest
the
unit.
If
the
fault
cannot
be
rectified
contact
your
supplier.
LOW
BATTERY
WARNING
If
the
battery
level
falls
below
20%
the
display
will
show
“
LOWBATT”
in
sequence
with
the
DATE
and
TIME
.
If
the
batteries
have
not
been
replaced
by
00:05:10
(five
minutes
and
10
seconds
after
midnight)
the
unit
will
transmit
a
low
battery
warning
at
that
time.
This
will
repeat
every
night
at
00:05:10
until
the
batteries
are
replaced.
If
the
battery
percentage
falls
to
0%
the
pill
dispenser
will
cease
to
operate,
it
will
bleep
and
the
display
will
show
“
ERROR
10
”.
The
battery
level
can
be
checked
at
any
time
by
tilting
the
dispenser
forward
(between
15
and
40
degrees);
after
the
“
NEXT
DOSE
”
and
“
DOSES
LEFT
”
information
the
battery
level
remaining
will
be
displayed
e.g.
“
B
75%
”.
All
programming
is
retained
when
the
batteries
are
changed.
The
time
may
need
correcting
if
the
batteries
are
left
out
or
are
completely
out
of
charge.
Replacement
batteries:
4
x
1.5V
Alkaline
AA
Rechargeable
batteries
may
also
be
used
but
ensure
the
“
BATT
”
function
in
Menu
B
is
set
as
“
NIMH
”.

DISPENSER
LEFT
UPSIDE
DOWN
If
the
dispenser
is
upside
down
when
an
alarm
occurs,
the
alarm
will
sound
as
normal
but
the
tray
will
not
turn
until
the
dispenser
is
returned
upright.
If
more
than
one
alarm
time
has
passed
whilst
the
dispenser
has
been
upside
down
the
dispenser
will
present
the
correct
medication
for
that
time.
CLEANING
Dispenser
Unit:
do
not
place
in
water,
wipe
clean
with
a
damp
cloth
only
and
polish
with
a
dry
duster.
Avoid
using
strong
detergents
or
furniture
polish.
Internal
Tray:
may
be
washed
in
warm
water
or
in
a
dish
washer
(max
70C).
