INTRODUCTION
The Advent XT2 assisted living call management system consists of a resident
’s
intercom which is linked directly to
an onsite Manage
r’s DECT
handset and a touch-
screen Manager’s
display panel. The system connects offsite to a
24-hour Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). In addition to this the Advent XT2 system can be combined with a fully
integrated door entry system reducing the need for two separate infrastructures.
Although analogue PSTN connectivity has been used to connect grouped living systems to Alarm
Receiving Centres for over 40 years, a recent statement from OFCOM stated that all existing
analogue telephone lines will be replaced with digital Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructures in the
coming years. The Advent XT2 digitally enabled assisted living system is built on a new digital
platform to provide a reliable and future proofed digital connection, ensuring continuity of service
after the digital migration.
