BLOBbox User Manual V. std 0.6.105 - 81

DOWNLOAD MEDIA FILES VIA HTTP AND FTP

The BLOBbox allows you to download content from the Internet in a variety of
ways.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

From the BLOBbox Home Page, press OPEN URL (blue button). Enter the URL
address of the file that you want to download and press OK

In this version you can only access to anonimous FTP server.

A message will be displayed asking you to confirm the request. Press YES (red
button) to initiate the download or NO (blue button) to abort.

A new message will inform you that the selected file has been added to the
download queue. Press VIEW (red button) to go to the “DOWNLOAD IN PROGRESS”
page or press BACK (blue button) to return to the Home Page.

It is possible to add new downloas using the PC web browser. Please, find the
instructions from page 78 to 83.

HOW TO PLAY DOWNLOADED MEDIA FILES

From the BLOBbox Home Page, select ARCHIVE > MY DOWNLOADS.

The list of downloads in progress will be shown, if any. Press COMPLETED (yellow
button) to access the list of those already fully downloaded. Select the one you
want to play and press OK.

You can play video, audio and image files. The files supported include:

: MP4-MOV, AVI, ASF-WMV, MPEG-TS, MPEG-PS, MKV

•

VIDEO CODEC

: MPEG2, H264, VC-1, WM9, DIVX, XVID

•

AUDIO CODEC

: MP2, MP3, AAC, AC3, WMA

•

IMAGE FORMATS

: GIF, JPG, PNG
