Before operation

Opening the cooling water supply valve. Is the flow correct?

Close the vacuum suction line.

Open the discharge line.

q

Check the lubricant color and level. Is it acceptable?

Check belt tension (for V-belt type only).

Run the vacuum pump according to

Start/Stop (Cleaning) Purges on

page 12

before opening the suction line.

q

During operation

Check the vacuum level in full vacuum. Is it normal?

q

Check the electric power condition (voltage and amperage) in full

vacuum. Is it acceptable?

q

Any abnormal noise?

q

Check operation temperature. Is it normal?

q

Check the lubricant color and level. Is it acceptable?

q

Stopping

Run the vacuum pump according to

Start/Stop (Cleaning) Purges

on page 12

or

Post-Process Dry Operation on page 14

for the

specified time period after closing the suction line.

q

After the appropriate pruging operatings, if foreign material remains

inside the vacuum pump, clean it with cleaning solvent.

q

Make sure that the suction and discharge line is closed.

q

Make sure the power supply is cut off.

q

OTE:

Proper purge and cleaning operations are still necessary on pumps with coated screws.
