We recommend that you use a transport/mounting trolley when transporting the system. If the 
system has to go upstairs, all lifts, where possible, should be made by 2 persons.

Assembly prior to use 

Prior to use please check that the bed is suited for TurnAid T4. Installation of TurnAid T4 must 
be carried out by a competent person.  

 

8.1

 

Requirements for the bed 

 

The bed must comply with the standard EN 60601-2-52. 

 

Demands of the bed 
manufacturer: 

NEVER exceed the 

bed manufacturer’s

 guidance for max. user load 

and max. user weight when TurnAid T4 has been mounted. 

 

Weight TurnAid T4: 

48,5 kg. 

 

Calculation of user weight:  With a bed of SWL (safe working load) of 350kg, the maximum 

patient weight will reduce due to the weight of the TurnAid device. 
Please refer to the bed instruction manual for information on the 
weight capacity.
