6.  OPERATING THE MACHINE 

Make sure that nobody is near the machine during operation. Do not allow anyone to come within 
a 20 m radius from the machine during work.  
 
Only drive in a straight line while the machine is in working position.  If turns have to be made 
while working with the machine, it must be lifted out of the ground first. 
 
The effectiveness of the discs improves with increased forward speed.  Higher speeds will lead to 
better soil mixing and increased breaking down of clods.  However, faster is not always better and 
speed should be adapted to local soil conditions (stones, surface trash, soil hardness).  Faster 
speeds also increase wear rate on discs and tines.   
 
The maximum allowed forward speed is 20 km/h with tines disabled, and 12 km/h with tines 
enabled. 
 
Instructions for operation:

If you want to use the tines, put them in working position.  See chapter 10.2.

With the machine still lifted in the air, start driving forward slowly. 

-

 

While driving, gradually drop the linkage arms of the tractor down as far as they go and 
then accelerate to the desired speed.  If set correctly, the rear roller and three-point linkage 
will together limit the maximum depth of the machine.  Draft control is not necessary, but 
in some circumstances it can improve the working of the machine.

If the hydraulic tine protection engages and disables some of the tines, use the hydraulics of 
the tractor to enable the tines again.  This can be done while driving. 

-

 

When lifting the machine out of work, do it gradually while driving.  Do not stop to lift up 
the machine. 

 
 
 

7.  UNCOUPLING THE MACHINE 

-

 

Lift the tines.  See chapter 10.2. 

-

 

Place the machine on a solid and level surface.  

-

 

Apply the tractor’s parking brake. 

-

 

Take the pressure off the hydraulic system and then disconnect the hydraulic hoses. 

-

 

Disconnect the top link between the tractor and the machine.  

-

 

Disconnect the linkage arms from the machine.
