1.  GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

The machine should be operated by authorised persons only, who have read and understood this 
complete manual and have been made familiar with the machine.  
 
Follow all prevailing safety regulations, including those in this manual, those occurring on the 
machine, and local safety regulations in your country.  
 
Make sure nobody enters the dangerous zone while the machine is in operation and make sure 
that people are kept well away from the machine. This is especially important when working 
along roads and near or on fields that are accessible to the public. 
 
Before doing any sort of maintenance, repairs or adjustments, put the machine on solid ground, 
take the pressure off the hydraulic system, switch off the engine of the tractor and apply the 
parking brake. 
 
Only use the machine for the purpose for which it was designed.  
 
Always operate the machine in a safe and secure way.  
 
Never work with a machine that has damaged or worn components.   
 
Always keep this operator’s manual near the machine and keep it accessible easily. 
 
Be alert and observe all safety precautions.  
 
Ensure that all safety guards, protection and safety decals are in place.  Keep the decals clearly 
readable.  
 
Keep a safe distance from moving parts.  
 
Clear the field of objects that could be thrown up by the machine.  
 
Always use a tractor with a cab.  
 
Observe the prevailing legislation for public road transport.  
 
Use flashing lights or other safety signs when required.  
 
Don’t stand on top of the machine.  
 
Use genuine TULIP parts only. 
 
Use protective clothing, gloves and/or safety glasses if required.
