OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

b10°C and +27°C: keep this thermometer away from direct sunlight, fire and any contamination.
Do not use this thermometer to interpret hypothermia temperatures.
It must not be submerged in water: take Tucky off the child before a bath.
It must be used with the strip-cap

When it is charging, the device must under no circumstances be placed on your child. Similarly, this device
is intended to be used by adults and must under no circumstances be left within reach of children when it is
not being used.
To charge the Tucky, you must connect a cable (see “Technical characteristics”) to a separate 5V power supply
(USB port). You must use the cable provided or an equivalent bearing CE marking.
Tucky and its adhesives are designed with biocompatible medical materials. However, do not use this product
if your child has already been diagnosed with an allergy to elastomer or silicon type plastics.
The product has been designed to fit snugly to the curves of the body. Do not bend it other than for its
intended use.
Before using Tucky, make sure the time is properly set on your phone or tablet. The information issued by the
app is based on the time entered on your telephone or tablet.
It is advised to apply Tucky to clean skin. Do not apply cream or oil where Tucky will be placed. Do not attach
to irritated or wounded skin.
Do not modify this device without the manufacturer’s authorisation.
Tucky is provided with the following accessories: a box of adhesives (ref. ADH-21) and a USB lead, which must
not, under any circumstances, be left within reach of children.
The device must be applied to the child’s skin with the adhesives provided in the packaging. Under no cir-
cumstances use other products to do this. The adhesives must be stored at a temperature of b10°C
and +27°C, away from sunlight and in a dry place in order to preserve their properties.
Adhesives are available on the www.e-takescare.com website and in most shops selling Tucky. They cannot be
repositioned and are single-use only.
The manufacturing date and SN serial number can be accessed via a barcode (QRcode or Datamatrix).
Apps for reading barcodes are available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION
2 scenarios:
Direct reading
: the smartphone or tablet is connected to Tucky via Bluetooth (to read data from around
10 m away).
Distance reading
: to read data from further away than 10 m, a second device (smartphone or tablet with the
app installed) must be placed within Bluetooth reach of Tucky in order to relay the data to the user via the
internet. The data is stored on an accredited healthcare host.
HOW TO USE TUCKY
First use
Charge Tucky for at least 1 h 30 mins, using the charger lead provided. Plug the USB micro connector into
Tucky and the USB connector to a computer, a tablet or a USB power adapter. 10 minutes of charging provides
8 hours of use approximatively.
Download the free «Tucky» app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (check the “Technical charac-
teristics” paragraph beforehand to see if it is compatible with your phone).
Activate Bluetooth.
