5.Serial Port Operational Modes
Using the TRP-C3XM Manager software, the serial port of TRP-C31M can be set to
Console Mode,
Default Mode
or
Upgrade Mode
. The serial port can be configured for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485
operation. The TRP-C31M also can be set to Console Mode by placing all the DIP switches into the
ON position.
5-1. Console Mode
The console mode allows TRP-C31M access to the setup menu. This is the way to reconfigure the
default settings for the application. A serial connection is made between a PC COM port and the
TRP-C31M serial port by using a null modem cable. In console mode, the serial port defaults to an
RS-232 interface.
