1. Connect the camera to the computer using the USB cable.
2. Select the ‘Live’ mode in the camera’s menu (see figure 8).
3. Start the program by clicking on ‘Start -> Programs -> Cyberlink VideoLive
Mail 4.0 -> VideoLive Mail’. Figure 14 will appear.
4. Click on the ‘Recording wizard’ button (button 1). The ‘Select Mail Type’
window will appear.
5. Select ‘Message Containing Video and Audio’ and click on ‘Next’ to continue.
The ‘Video Quality Control’ window will appear.
6. Select ‘Video Quality’ and click on ‘Next’ to continue. Use the value
recommended by the program.
7. The ‘Recording wizard – Audio Quality’ window will appear. Adjust the audio
quality and click on ‘Next’ to continue. Use the value recommended by the
program.
8. The ‘Start to Record Video Mail’ window will appear.
9. Click on the ‘Record’ button to start recording.
10. Speak the text for the recording.
11. Click the ‘Stop’ button to finish the recording.
12. Click the 'Next’ button to continue. The ‘Complete VideoLive Mail’ window will
appear. In this window, select the following:
‘
Play ’ to play the recording,
‘ Save ’ to save the recording,
‘ Mail ’ to send the recording by e-mail. An *.exe file will be created which also
contains the code to play the file. This is necessary to be sure that the
recipient can view the message without having to install any extra programs.
13. The e-mail window will appear. You must fill in an e-mail address.
14. Click on ‘Send’.
15. Click on ‘Finish’ to close the Wizard.

1 Start Recording
Wizard A useful tool to easily compose a video mail.
2 Settings For altering the settings of the video camera
and the microphone.
3 Start recording Starts recording audio and video.
4 Play recording Plays the recording so that you can check it.
5 Pause Stops playing the recording. The recording can
be restarted from the same point.
6 Stop Stops playing the recording. The recording will
start from the beginning when the play button is
pressed again.
7 Send mail Sends the message by e-mail.
8 Open video file Opens a previously recorded file.
9 Save video file Saves the current video recording on your
computer.
10 Speaker volume Adjusts the volume whilst playing.
11 Microphone sensitivity Adjusts the sensitivity of the microphone. The
sensitivity cannot be adjusted when using the
camera as a microphone. This is then set
