7.4 Actuator with control module

Smoke control dampers in a smoke extract system can

be activated individually or as part of an overall system

and according to the control matrix set up for the event

of a fire. In this case the control system of the mechan-

ical smoke extract system or pressurisation system also

controls and monitors the status of the dampers. If there

are integral communication modules fitted inside the

encasing, they can be connected to the actuator and

establish the communication with the control system as

well as the power supply.
