Thawing and emptying
•
In order to achieve the most ef f icient operation and minimum energy
consumptio n, you should defrost whenev er the frost becomes 3cm thick.
Never use a sharp or metallic instrument to remove the frost, as this can
damage the cooling coils. Use only the supplied plastic scrapers. Do not use
boiling water as this may damage the device.
•
Remove f rozen f ood from the f reezer and place it in a cooler to protect the
f ood.
•
Unplug the plug from the socket. The thawing usually takes a few hours.
For f aster thawing, leave the door of the f reezer open.
•
To empty, place a tray under the outer drain plugs. Unscrew the drain plug
and remove it. This allows the water in the shell to leak. When you are
done, screw the drain screw backin.
Note: Monitor the container under the drain to avoid overf lowing.
•
When emptying is complete, wipe the inside of the freezer with a soft
cloth. Plug the power cord back into the power outlet.
