7- Security features

The security features described in this section protect your Mondo from any unauthorised

use.

When you are asked to do so:
1- Enter the code requested.

The code entered will be displayed on the screen in the form of asterisks "*".

2- Then tap on the

function key.

Should an error be made when entering data:

Tap on the

Clear

function key to delete the last character entered (shown as an

asterisk).

Tap and keep your stylus pressed on the Clear function key to delete all of the

characters entered (shown as asterisks).

WARNING: Never use security codes similar to emergency numbers (112, for example). You

will thus avoid accidentally calling to one of these numbers.

KEEP YOUR CODES IN A SAFE PLACE.

LOSING YOUR CODES MAY CAUSE YOU SEVERE PREJUDICE.

• The locking code

A locking code is allocated to your Mondo for security reasons. This code protects your

Mondo in general and your WAP™ parameters from any unauthorised access.

The factory setting is

0000

. We recommend that you amend this code and keep your

new code in a safe place separately from your Mondo.

The locking code of your Mondo is also required for resetting your call timers.

If it is activated, the locking code is requested each time you wish to open the Telephone

application.

- To amend the locking code:

1- Tap on the

function key in the standby screen of the Telephone application.

2- Use the or the key on the virtual keyboard to bring up the

Settings

screen.

3- Tap on the

Settings

screen.

4- Tap on

Phone Settings

5- Use the key on the virtual keyboard to go to the next page of the Phone Settings

options.

6- Tap on

Security functions

7- Tap on

Phone lock

code.

8- Tap on

Change code

9- Enter your old locking code.

10- Tap on the

function key.

11- Enter your new locking code.

WARNING: Never use security codes similar to emergency numbers (112, for

example). You will thus avoid accidentally calling to one of these numbers.

12- Tap on the

function key.

13- Enter your new locking code again.
14- Tap on the

function key.

To return to the standby screen, tap on the

Exit

function key or on the key on the

virtual keyboard.
