• To select an alert tone

mode, and if you have previously set the volume of ring

tone to

, the warning message

Warning, Ring volume off !

will be displayed

on the screen.

If you select the

Silent

alert tone, the

symbol will appear on the standby

screen of the Telephone application.

PLEASE NOTE: The selection of the

Silent

alert mode will not be retained when

the Telephone application is closed. The

Ring

mode will automatically be reinstated

when you relaunch the Telephone application.

If you select one of the

Vibrate

Vibrate and ring

Vibrate then ring

modes, the

symbol will be displayed on the standby screen of the Telephone application.

To return to the standby screen, tap on the

Exit

function key or on the key on the

virtual keyboard.

from the main menu of the Telephone application, as indicated below.

There are also other methods.

These settings may also be carried out from the Volumes control screen which is

directly accessible by tapping on the key on the standby screen of the Telephone

application.
