tcp/ip (ethernet)
Triton ATMs communicate using TCP (transmission control protocol) and IP (internet protocol), which al-
lows units to send and receive information in the form of small packets of digital data. ATM functions, such as
customer transactions and remote monitoring, can be performed using an existing in-house communications
network. Triton ATMs are equipped with an SSL (secure socket layer) option and loaded with public SSL certifi-
cates for secure communications. Host processors may require additional SSL certificates. See the Configuration
Manual for more information on configuring TCP/IP.
modem option
Triton also offers an optional modem for instances in which a dial-up telephone line is the only option for com-
munications. Modems are not standard and must be purchased separately.
