Search Coil Sweeping Hints:
z
Never sweep the search coil as if it were a pe ndulum. Raising the
search coil while sweeping or at the end of a sweep cause s false
readings.
z
Sweep slowly – hurrying makes you miss targets.
If the detector detect s the material , it sounds a tone and the pointer
moves to the type of metal it found.
If the detector does n ot detect the mate rial, make sure yo u are moving
the search coil correctly.
Notes:

The detector responds with a stro ng signal when it detect s most
valuable metal objects. If a signal does not repeat a fter you sweep
the search coil cover the target a few times, the target is probabl y
junk metal.
z
False signals can be caused by trash y ground, electrical interference,
or large irre gular pieces of junk metal. False signals are usuall y
broken or non-repeatable.
