OPERATION

 

This Metal Detector distinguishes between ferrous and nonferrous metals. 
Ferrous metal includes iron, while non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, 
copper, platinum, aluminum, lead, and zinc. 

1. POWER ON THE DETECTOR

 

Hold  the det ector  in a comfor table  position,  then rotate 

VOLUME

  away 

from 

OFF

 to power on the detector. 

2. TUNING

 

z

 

Rotate 

VOLUME

 to the 11 o’clock position.

 

z

 

Set

 DISC

 to its midpoint.

 

z

 

Hold the search coil about 1 feet awa y from the gr ound,

 

and slowly

rotate 

TUNE

 left and right  

 

until the pointer on the view meter  rests at

or near 0, then 

press and 

release the red button.

 **NOTE** It is normal to have

a faint sound when detector meter is at "0". The sound will disappear when
the needle moves left (detecting junk metal) or get louder when moving right
(detecting more valuable metal).
