STANDARD DOMESTIC WARRANTY

TRAULSEN & CO., INC. warrants new equipment to the original purchaser, when installed within the United

States against defective material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original installation.

Under this warranty, TRAULSEN & CO., INC. will repair or replace, at its option, including service and labor,

all parts found to be defective and subject to this warranty. The compressor part is warranted for an

additional four (4) years. During this period TRAULSEN & CO., INC. will supply replacement compressor(s)

if deemed defective, however, all installation, recharging and repair costs will remain the responsibility of

the owner.

This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from fire, water, burglary, accident, abuse, misuse,

transit, acts of God, attempted repairs, improper installation by unauthorized persons, and will not apply to

food loss.

THERE ARE NO ORAL, STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO TRAULSEN, INCLUDING

BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY

PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF. TRAULSEN

SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, GROWING

OUT OF OR WITH RESPECT TO THE EQUIPMENT OR ITS SALE, OPERATION OR USE, AND TRAULSEN

NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANYONE ELSE TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY OBLIGATION OR

LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE EQUIPMENT OR ITS SALE, OPERATION OR USE OTHER THAN AS

STATED HEREIN.

INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

(for Canadian warranties see domestic US warranty)

TRAULSEN & CO., INC. warrants to the original purchaser the Refrigeration Equipment manufactured and

sold by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of

one (1) year from date of shipment. Under this warranty, TRAULSEN & CO., INC. will reimburse the

purchaser for the replacement of any part of said equipment (excluding dryers & refrigerant gas) which then

proves to be defective. This warranty is void if said equipment or any part thereof has been subject to

misuse, damage in transit, accident, negligence or alteration.

TRAULSEN’S standard warranty does not apply to Export Sales. Rather, for a period of one (1) year from

date of original installation not to exceed Fifteen (15) months from date of shipment from factory,

TRAULSEN:

will replace, F.O.B. factory, any defective parts normally subject to warranty.

will not cover the cost of packing, freight or labor such costs being the sole responsibility of the dealer.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED AND 

CONSTITUTES TRAULSEN’S FULL OBLIGATION AND LIABILITY. WARRANTIES NOT AVAILABLE 

ON REMOTE MODELS.

XI. WARRANTY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT

ENERGY SAVING CLOSED DOOR OPERATION: 

During closed door operation it is normal for the compressor, condenser fan, and the evap 

fans to cycle at different rates.This is normal operation which maximizes energy efficiency.

OPEN DOOR OPERATION AND ALARM: 

During open door operation a sensor knows the door is open. When operating with door open 

the display will show 

"OPEn" 

and start an internal count down timer. The unit will allow open 

door operation for factory default of 90 minutes during which time the compressor, condenser fan 

and evaporator fans will run continuously.

CLOSING THE DOOR AFTER AN OPEN DOOR PERIOD:

Unit is operating with door open and the door is closed in 

less than

unit will reset the open door alarm timer and have 

normal operation.

• Unit is operating with door open and the door is closed

between 30 and 90 minutes, 

the door alarm timer is reset and after

5 minutes and an automatic defrost cycle begins.

If the unit is operating with door open and the door is closed after 

"End" 

is displayed, the open door session will be terminated. Cycle controller 

power ("OFF", then "ON") and a defrost cycle begins after 5 minutes. If 

the door is reopened before 30 minutes of being closed the unit will not 

be allowed to run. The door must remain closed for a minimum of 30 

minutes to reset and allow a new open door session.

90 MINUTE OPEN DOOR SESSION: 

When the door is open the display shows 

"OPEn" 

and the unit beeps 3x every 10 seconds.

After the 90 minute (open door time), a 5 minute final warning count-down timer starts. 

The display continues to beep 3x every 10 seconds during the timer.

When the 5 minute final warning countdown timer reaches 

"0:00", 

the display shows 

"End" 

and the compressor, condenser fan and evaporator fans turn off.

The alarm starts beeping every 30 seconds with two second duration until the door has 

been closed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Perishable product left in the unit 

past the 90 minute open door session may be at unsafe 

temperatures.
