About This Manual
Literature Change History
Use this manual for commercial self-
contained models SCWH
and
SCRH
.
This is the original issue of this
manual. It provides specific installation,
owner maintenance, and diagnostic
troubleshooting instructions for “AO” and
later design sequences.
Note: The procedures discussed in this
manual should only be performed by
qualified, experienced HVAC technicians.
Note: This document is customer
property and must be retained for use by
maintenance personnel.
It is important to perform periodic
maintenance to help ensure trouble free
operation. Should equipment failure
occur, contact a qualified Trane service
organization for an experienced HVAC
technician to properly diagnose and
repair this equipment.
Warnings and Cautions
Warnings and cautions appear at
appropriate sections throughout this
manual. Read these carefully.
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation, which could result in death
or serious injury if not avoided.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation, which may result in minor or
moderate injury if not avoided. Also, it
may alert against unsafe practices.
CAUTION
Indicates a situation that may result in
equipment or property-damage-only
accidents.
Example Warnings and
Cautions
WARNING
Hazardous Voltage!
Disconnect all electric power,
including remote disconnects before
servicing.Follow proper lockout/tagout
procedures to ensure power cannot
be inadvertently energized. Failure to
disconnect power before servicing
could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Use Copper Conductors Only!
Unit terminals are not designed to
accept other type conductors. Failure
to use copper conductors may result
in equipment damage.

Special Note on Refrigeration
Emissions
World environmental scientists have
concluded that ozone in our upper
atmosphere is being reduced due to the
release of CFC fully halogenated
compounds.
Trane urges all HVAC service personnel
to make every effort to prevent any
refrigerant emissions while installing,
operating, or servicing equipment.
Always conserve refrigerants for
continued use.
