Supply voltage
The booster can be operated by DC or AC voltage. In order to achieve
minimum dissipation at the bridge rectifier of the booster,
it is definitely more convenient to use AC voltage supply.
The AC voltage supply shall never exceed 18 VAC!
Connectors
The receiving possibilities of the synchronized booster signal are
described below. Since the booster can be connected to various
systems, it can be supplied from any of its inputs.
Attention! Only fully insulated track sections with both rails
cut shall be supplied by the digital booster!
DCC OUT: Boosted signal output.
It is required to pay attention to the correct polarity during
connection. If the isolated rail section is of reversed polarity
compared to the previous section, the booster will give a short-
circuit signal when the train changes the sections. One booster can
only be used for one single signal. The booster may not be used for
more than one signal at the same time.
DCC IN: The synchronized signal can be received from the rail
signal. This can be applied if neither of the other input signals is
available or it is not required to ensure a separate synchronized
signal for the booster.
The input can also be used for receiving the synchronized signals of
Roco, Lenz, Tran, ESU etc. digital centers.
In this case it must be considered that a short-circuit status at the
previous booster may cause the breaking of the synchronized signal
from the rail by the digital center. Now the given booster will shut
down, i.e. the output will be turned off.
The input has galvanic isolation.
