MAINTENANCE

Maintain the device regularly as described below so that you can enjoy it for
many years to come:

Keep the outside clean.
▪
Use warm soapy water for cleaning. Do not use flammable or caustic cleaning
supplies.
▪
When cleaning the device, make sure that the area around the burner and the
ignition part always remains dry. DO NOT use the gas control if it comes into
contact with water. In this case, the gas control must be replaced.
▪
Air must be able to flow freely. Make sure that the controls, burner and
ventilation openings are clean.
▪
Possible signs of a malfunction are:
▪
Gas smell and extreme yellow color of the flame tips
▪
Heating does not reach the desired temperature
▪
Heating glows excessively and unevenly.
▪
Heating makes popping noise.
▪
Spiders and other insects can nest in the burner and other openings. This is
dangerous and can damage the heater.
▪
Carbon deposits can pose a fire risk. In the case of carbon depositis, you must
clean the cover and the engine with warm soapy water.
NOTE: Corrosion can occur more quickly in saline environments (near the sea).
Check rusty areas frequently and repair them immediately.
