5.10 Replacing the Elevation Gyro

1. Disconnect the gyro cable from the in-line connector.

Elevation Gyro

2. Remove the two M2.5 screws securing the gyro to the

LNB/feed tube assembly. Remove the old gyro.

3. Apply a drop of Loctite threadlocker to the threads of the

screws that you removed in Step 2. Install the new
elevation gyro and secure in place with the two screws. 

4. Connect the new gyro cable to the in-line connector that

you disconnected in Step 1.

5. Calibrate the gyro as described in 

“Calibrating the Gyros”

on page 105
