Bathtub Maintenance
WARNING: Do not use acidic or alkaline base products to clean the bathtub. Damage to
the enamel surface may occur.
•
Be sure to clean the bathtub after each use. Dirt may stain the bathtub if left for long periods.
•
Use mild detergent, a soft cloth and a sponge. Follow only the installation instructions for your
particular model/installations.
•
Before using the bathtub place a small amount of cold water into the bathtub. Then add hot wa-
ter. If the hot water is 80 ºC (176 ºF) and used directly the bathtub can become damaged.
•
Avoid water containing sulfur. This will discolor the bathtub.

Complete the installation
•
Dry fit the drain plumbing.
•
Secure the bathtub. Mark the bathtub’s feet positions. Apply a general
purpose adhesive (not included) or a clear silicone (not included) in the
marks. Each foot should have a 2-3/8” (60 mm) diameter area of ad-
hesive. NOTE: Both floor and tub feet should be clear of all dirt, dust
and debris before applying adhesive.
•
Remove the transfer belts.
•
Permanently connect the drain plumbing.
•
Fill the bathtub with water to the overflow and then drain the
bathtub while inspecting the waste connections for leaks.
Clean the installation site. Clean the surrounding floor. Clean
the bathtub using a mild detergent.

Install Drain Tailpiece
WARNING: Do not lift or move the bathtub without assistance. A
cast iron bathtub is extremely heavy and may cause personal injury.
WARNING: When moving the bathtub be sure to use the transfer
belts as shown in the figure.
WARNING: Provide adequate support under the bathtub feet.
