Hardware Installation

This chapter provides hardware installation instructions for the Strata CIX PC Digital Attendant
Console.
The Strata CIX Attendant Console is sold in two versions:
•
A turnkey package that includes an Attendant Console License (LIC-ATT), a PC with
Microsoft® Windows® operating system and the Strata CIX PC Digital Attendant Console
application software pre-installed prior to shipment. The customer must supply a color VGA
monitor (1024 x 768 resolution, 65K colors).
•
A software and license only solution that allows the console to operate on a dealer or customer
supplied PC. The Attendant Console license (LIC-ATT) must be ordered on Toshiba FYI. The
Attendant Console software can be downloaded free of charge from FYI. The LIC-ATT license
must be applied to the CIX processor using Network eManager® to allow the console to
operate. The customer must supply a PC that meets the specifications shown below.
VoIP or Digital Station Talk Path
The Strata CIX system and the PC to CIX system speech path connection can be configured for
VoIP or digital line card circuit operation. The system can also be configured and equipped for
both.

For analog trunk circuits Toshiba recommends using RCOU3 of later interface cards

Important!
Installing and running the Strata CIX Attendant Console Version 6 on a PC that is a
member of a Microsoft Windoes Domain is not supported. The Attendant Console
PC must be configured as a Workgroup computer.
