Step 10: Mount Base Stations

1. Determine a location (see

“Set Up Temporary Installation”

Page 13

) that provides the best

coverage before mounting the Base Station permanently.

2. Use locations that reduce attenuation and create a clear line of sight.

3. Always mount the Base Stations in a centralized location in open, symmetrical areas.

4. Make a 360 degree circle to

check the signal from
different directions.

for BER test readings. In the example above,

indicates the Base Station ID,

is the handset

5. Keep the handset slightly

raised.

Important!

Mark the floor plan where the LCD
permanently changes from

(indicating the end of the coverage area).

6. Walk while performing the

test, but pause occasionally
for the best readings.
