1.5 DVD Super Multi (+-R Double Layer)
The DVD Super Multi drive accepts 12-cm (4.72-inch) and 8-cm (3.15-inch) discs. At
maximum, the drive can play back a DVD at 8x speed, read CD-ROM at 24x speed, and
write CD-R at 24x speed, CD-RW at 4x speed, US CD-RW at 24x speed, High Speed CD-
RW at 10x speed, DVD-R at 8x speed, DVD-RW at 6x speed, DVD+R at 8x speed, DVD+R
(Double Layer) at 4x speed, DVD-R (Double Layer) at 4x speed, DVD+RW at 8x speed and
DVD-RAM at 5x speed.
DVD Super Multi Drive is shown in Figure 1-7 and its specifications are listed in Table 1-2.
