2.USING THE FAX UNIT (BASIC OPERATION)

34 Operating the Fax unit



Setting the resolution

You can set the resolution when scanning an original.

Press

in the Fax menu.

Select the resolution and press [OK].



Resolution

Set the resolution based on the fineness of the original.

U-Fine:

This is suitable for an original with ultra-fine illustrations.

Fine:

This is suitable for an original with small size text and fine illustrations.

Standard:

This is suitable for an original with regular size text.



If the recipient’s fax machine is not capable of receiving originals at the same resolution, the
resolution is automatically converted before being sent to the recipient. The higher the
resolution is, the longer it takes to send an original.



Standard cannot be set in Resolution while the OCR function is enabled.
