3 ADVANCED FUNCTIONS

100 Function Keys

Secure reception

Secure reception allows you to receive documents to the memory when you want to secure the
access to incoming documents within a certain period of time. If this time is specified in advance,
the received data is then stored in the memory and is automatically output afterwards.

The

key permits you to manually activate this function at any hour and print the received

data stored in the memory.

Confirm that the secure reception function is active on the Function List. (

P.241 “Function

list”)

Secure reception setting (

P.194 “Secure reception”)

While secure reception is activated, the message for indicating this appears on the basic
screens of Fax, InternetFax and Scan.

Activating secure reception (manual)

Press the [FAX] button on
the control panel.

Press the

key.

"SECURE RX" screen appears.

y

If the secure RX setting is set to
OFF, the screen returns to the
basic screen after displaying the
screen on the right for about 2
seconds with the alarm sound.

Select “1. START” using
the

button and

press the [ENTER] button.

The screen returns to the basic
screen and the secure RX func-
tion becomes effective.
