4. Putting the charger into operation and charging Power 26-104
4.1 Connecting the charger to the battery
Connect eyelet on the red cable with positive pole and eyelet on black cable with negati-
ve pole. Only then plug the power plug into the wall socket.
Now switch on the battery. Charging process now begins automatically. During charging
process, „Charge“ LED will flash. When charging process will be finished, „Full“ LED will
flash.
Depending on the charge state of the battery, charging time will take less than 11 hours.
In case of excess heating of battery or charger (for instance due to exposure to the sun),
charging time may extend.
• Only charge the battery when it is standing on a non-flammable
surface, and under supervision of an responsible adult.
• Only charge the battery at ambient temperatures of between 0°C and
40°C / 32°F and 104°F.
• During charging process protect charger and battery from contact with
water.
• During installation make sure that all of the equipment has been swit-
ched off.
• Avoid contact between the two ring eyes.
• When connecting the charger, ensure the correct polarity.
• Only plug charger into wall socket after it has been connected to the
battery. The charger will warm up during operation.
• Make sure there is adequate ventilation.
• Keep the charger away from easily flammable materials.
• In case you should not succeed in recharging a totally discharged
battery, take battery and charger to a Torqeedo service point for
inspection (contact data on the back of this manual).
