4. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot and raise the
height-of-cut lever slightly to disengage the transport
lock (Figure 27).
5. Lower the deck slowly until the pin makes contact with
the lever.

Using the Lock Positions
The deck can be locked in the highest height-of-cut or
transport position or the lowest height-of-cut position.
To lock the deck in the transport position:
1. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot, and raise
the mower deck to the transport position (114 mm
(4.5 inch) cutting height position) (Figure 28).
2. Remove the pin from the height-of-cut bracket
(Figure 28).
3. Select the lower hole on the lock decal and insert the
pin (Figure 28).
To lock the deck in the lowest height-of-cut position:
1. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot, and raise
the mower deck to the transport position (114 mm
(4.5 inch) cutting height position) (Figure 28).
2. Remove the pin from the height-of-cut bracket
(Figure 28).
3. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot and lower
the mower deck to the lowest position.
4. Select the upper hole on the lock decal and insert the
pin (Figure 28).
Adjusting the Anti-Scalp
Rollers
Whenever you change the height-of-cut, it is recommended
to adjust the height of the anti-scalp rollers.
1. Disengage the blade control switch (PTO), move the
motion control levers to the neutral lock position and
set the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
3. Remove the flange nut, anti-scalp roller and bolt from
the bracket (Figure 29).
Note:
Keep the bolt and anti-scalp roller together
when removing.

4. Align the bolt and anti-scalp roller in the hole of the
bracket that matched the closest height of cut position
(Figure 29).
5. Insert the bolt into the bracket hole and secure the bolt
and anti-scalp roller with the flange nut (Figure 29).
