1. Inspect surfaces of inner and outer rotors, pump housing,

cover, and shaft for wear and scoring.

2. Inspect pump housing and passages for debris.

3. Clean if required.

4. Replace worn or damaged parts.

Install Oil Pump

(on models so equipped)

1. Oil and install outer rotor in pump cavity. Do not use force

to install.

2. Oil and install inner rotor in pump cavity.

3. Turn rotors to engage pump in cam or governor gear.

4. Place “O” ring in groove in cover, Fig. 114.
