Servicing the Engine Cooling
System

Service Interval:

Every 100 hours

Every 2 years

Remove debris from the oil cooler and radiator daily.
Clean them more frequently in dirty conditions.

1. Turn the engine off and raise the hood. Clean the

engine area thoroughly of all debris.

2. Remove the knobs (Figure 60) securing the oil cooler

to the frame.

3. Pivot the oil cooler rearward. Clean both sides of the

oil cooler and radiator area (Figure 61) thoroughly
with compressed air. Start from the front and blow
the debris out towards the back. Then clean from
the back side and blow towards the front. Repeat
procedure several times until all chaff and debris is
removed

Important:

Cleaning the radiator or oil cooler

with water can promote premature corrosion
and damage to components.

4. Pivot the oil cooler back into position. Secure it to

the frame with the knobs and close the hood.
