Straighten any bent fins.
Inspecting the
Cooling-System Hoses
Service Interval: Every 200 hours
Inspect the cooling-system hoses for leaks, kinked
lines, loose mounting supports, wear, loose fittings,
weather deterioration, and chemical deterioration.
Make all necessary repairs before operating the
machine.
Brake Maintenance

Service Interval: Every 400 hours
Checking the Parking Brake
1. Place jack stands under the front of the machine;
refer to
Raising the Front of the Machine (page
40) .
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Move the parking brake to the D
ISENGAGED
position; refer to Parking Brake (page 20) .
4. Remove the brake drums ( Figure 66 ) by hand.

If you feel resistance while removing the
brake drums by hand, an adjustment is
not
needed.
•
If you do not feel resistance while removing
the brake drums by hand, an adjustment is
needed; refer to
Adjusting the Parking Brake
(page 54) .

Adjusting the Parking Brake
1. Chock the wheels.
2. Ensure that the parking brake is disengaged.
3. Locate the brake-cable mount ( Figure 67 ) under
the left side of the machine near the left wheel.
