Disconnecting the Battery
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Position the machine on a level surface, set the parking
brake, lower the cutting units, turn the ignition off, and
remove the key.
CAUTION
If you leave the key in the ignition switch,
someone could accidently start the engine and
seriously injure you or bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition switch
before you do any maintenance.
2. Remove the access panel, behind the seat, to expose
the batteries.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable from both of
the batteries.

Installing the Flasher Module
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Flasher bracket
2 Flange head screw, 1/4 x 1/2 inch
2 Flange nut, 1/4 inch
1 Flasher module
1 wiring harness
Procedure
1. Remove the screws securing the steering tower cover
to the steering tower (
Figure 1 ). Remove the steering
tower cover.

2. Mount the flasher module to the bracket with a #10
x 5/8 inch screw 2 flat washers (0.216 x 0.500 inch)
and a #10 nut, positioning the components as shown
in
Figure 2 .

3. Mount the flasher bracket to the steering column
mount with 2 flange head screws (1/4 x 5/8 inch) and
1/4 flange nuts (
Figure 2 ).
4. Route the end of the enclosed wiring harness under the
steering tower opening in the operator's platform.
5. Plug the wiring harness connector, labeled Flasher
Module, into the flasher module.
