Tension on the
Y-Strap
can be adjusted by varying the
number of washers installed between the
Y-Strap
and
the
Generator Tray
(extra washers are provided in the
kit).
If you are installing the
Sidekick
into a 2” hitch,
your installation is complete. If you are installing the
Sidekick
into an
A7900 Space Dock
, continue on to
step
8
.
Torque all 3/8” hardware with Nylock nuts to 20ft-lbs,
with the exception of the wheel bracket axles.
Step 8
Rotate the
A7900 Space Dock
so that the
Sidekick
is
centered over the
Palomino Landing Pad Bumper
.
Adjust the
3/8”-16 x 2” Grade 8 Tap Bolt
in the
Wheel
Bracket
to lower the wheel down. Adjust the wheel so
that the weight of the generator is supported when in
the travel position, and so the wheel can still easily roll
on and off of the
Palomino
landing pad bumper
. Once
adjusted, tighten the
3/8”-16 SS Hex Nut
against the
Inner Wheel Bracket
to lock the bolt and corresponding
wheel height in place.
Tighten the
knob
and
jam nut
on the side of the
A7900
Space Dock
receiver to prevent unwanted fore and aft
movement of the
Sidekick
. Your installation is now
complete.
