The trimmer head will continue to
rotate for several seconds after the
engine has stopped.
STARTING ENGINE
1.
Push the engine control lever into the
starting notch.
2. Push the primer bulb 3 times, waiting 2
seconds between each push.
3. Firmly grip the trimmer handle with our left
hand, and firmly grip the recoil starter with
your right hand.
4. Pull the recoil starter slowly, until you feel
tension in the starter rope. Then quickly
pull the recoil starter handle to start engine.
Do not allow the starter rope to snap back.
Let the starter rope slowly rewind as you
hold the recoil starter handle.
5. If engine fails to start after three pulls, push
the primer bulb two times and pull the
recoil starter handle again.

If engine fails to start after 5 or 6
more tries, see the instructions in the
"Troubleshooting".
Once the engine is running, squeeze the control
bar against the upper handle will start rotating
of the trimmer head. Release the control bar to
stop the trimmer head from rotating while the
engine continues to run.
STOP ENGINE
To stop the engine simply pull the engine
control lever out of the starting notch.
ENGAGING / DISENGAGING THE TRIMMER
HEAD
Rapid retraction of the starter cord
(kickback) will pull your handand arm
toward the engine faster than you
can let go. Broken bones, fractures,
bruises, or sprains could result.
Do not use the primer bulb to restart a
warm engine after a short shutdown.
Be sure no one other than the
operator is standing near the trimmer
while starting engine or operating the
trimmer. Never run engine indoors or
in enclosed, poorly ventilated areas.
Engine exhaust contains carbon
monoxide, an odorless and deadly
gas. Keep hands, feet, hair and loose
clothing away from any moving parts
on engine and trimmer mower.
