9. Operation
a) Adjusting the cutting angle
1. Move the sliding shoe release lever (1) forwards.
2. Slide the sliding shoe (14) forwards slightly to release the locking mechanism.
3. Set the desired cutting angle. The angle is shown on a scale on the sliding shoe (14) and can be set in 15° steps
within a range of +/- 45°.
4. Push the sliding shoe (14) backwards again until it clicks into the groove that corresponds to the angle setting.
5. Move the sliding shoe release lever (1) backwards again to secure the sliding shoe (14) in place.

b) Setting the pendulum stroke
Set the desired pendulum stroke with the pendulum stroke adjustment lever (13):
• "Exact" position > pendulum stroke switched off
• Position 1 > low pendulum stroke
• Position 2 > medium pendulum stroke
• Position 3 > maximum pendulum stroke
The pendulum stroke causes a pendulum movement of the saw blade. The smaller the pendulum stroke,
the cleaner the cut. A larger pendulum stroke means faster cutting progress, but the edge of the cut is not
as clean.
When sawing thin workpieces or when cutting curves, do not set a pendulum stroke, or only set a low
pendulum stroke.
