5. Release the lock around the saw blade holder (12) to lock the saw blade in place.
6. Check that the saw blade (10) is securely seated before starting work by pulling on the saw blade (10). It must not
come out of the saw blade holder (12).
7. Fold down the protective cover (8) again.
8. To remove the saw blade, slide the lock around the saw blade holder (12) upwards. The saw blade will be released
and can then be removed.
b) Inserting/removing the battery
1. Slide the battery (5) into the battery compartment until it clicks into place.
2. To remove the battery, press the battery release button (4).
3. Then pull the battery (5) out of the battery compartment.
c) Mounting and adjusting the rip fence
The rip fence makes it possible to guide the jigsaw cleanly along a workpiece edge. It can be attached to
both sides.
1. Slightly loosen the locking screw for the rip fence (7).
2. Slide the rip fence into the rip fence guide (9) in the sliding shoe (14).
3. Set the desired distance to the workpiece edge using the markings on the sliding shoe (14).
4. Retighten the locking screw for the rip fence (7). This screw can be screwed in on both sides of the
sliding shoe (14).
d) Connecting a dust extraction system
In order to avoid dust from entering the respiratory tract and to prevent an unclean workplace, a dust ex-
traction system should always be used. A household vacuum cleaner, a wet-dry vacuum or a professional
dust extraction system can be connected for this purpose.
1. Insert the adapter for the dust extraction into the corresponding socket (15) on the device.
2. Connect the suction hose of your dust extraction system to the connection on the adapter.
