6. TROUBLESHOOTING
＜ Symptoms and Solutions ＞
Symptom Probable causes Action taken
The rotor does
not rotate.
The instrument is not properly
plugged.
Plug the instrument in properly.
Prolonged storage causes some
coating on the surface of the motor
commutator.
Turn the rotor by hand slowly 5 or
6 revolutions.
Motor’s overcurrent is detected and
the overcurrent protection circuit is
activated.
Unplug the AC adaptor from the
main body and wait at least one
minute.
The rotor
stops while it
is spinning.
Motor’s overcurrent is detected by
unbalanced load, and the
overcurrent protection circuit is
activated.
Balance the load. Unplug the AC
adaptor from the main body and
wait at least one minute.
Excessive
vibration and
noise occur.
The load is unbalanced. Balance the load.
Foreign substances adhere to the
rotor.
Remove the foreign substances.
If any system malfunction in the instrument is suspected, when it is operated
properly according to this Operator’s Manual, check the condition of the
instrument referring to “Symptoms and solutions” listed in the table below, identify
a probable reason for the condition, and take the corresponding action. If the
symptom of the malfunction is not identified or the actions described do not solve
the problem, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and contact your
dealer or our local representative.
The rotor has a built-in ball balancer.
The balls inside the rotor will balance the load while the rotor is spinning.
You will hear metallic noise from the rotor, but this is not a malfunction.
WARNING
When returning the instrument or its parts for replacement or
repair, the instrument or the parts must be appropriately
decontaminated before shipping it in any of the following cases:.
1 : In cases where the instrument or any parts of the instrument has been
exposed to infectious and hazardous or radioactive substances.
2 : In cases where the instrument or any parts of the instrument has any
residue of blood or other chemicals and has been identified as
hazardous.
