Configuring the Motor

The STAC6 works best with the specially matched motors in the
Recommended List. To configure the drive for one of these motors,
click on the motor icon, select a motor from the drop down list,
and set the current. The rated current for the motor chosen appears
in the "Motor Specs" and that value is normally used. If your
application is particularly heat sensitive, and more torque than
needed is displayed, reduce motor heating by lowering the current.
For short duty cycles, where the motor has time to cool down
between moves, the current can be set higher than the motor rating
to increase the torque.
Note: Motors operated above their rated current will not operate as
smoothly and if used continuously will likely overheat.
